The Perfect Pale Pink Nail Polish

I interrupt your thoughts about spiritual and emotional growth to share with you what I think just might be the prettiest pale pink polish I’ve ever seen. It’s like a ballerina’s tutu, more pink than white (as so many pale pinks can be), whisper sweet and soft as gossamer. It’s the pink of my natural nail bed so it looks very neat and clean-looking, making it basically the most perfect neutral ever. Wear it with a ’50s frock or leather and studs, like a Left Bank girl with a bad attitude. Also? It’s called “No Pre-nup.” Terrible, but hilarious.

  • Sara Rose: Ooooh my fave grown up pale pink nail polish is Essie’s Sugar Daddy (again with the hilarious names), but I may be giving this a try too. Sugar Daddy has enough pink but does lead towards white-ish. However, it’s very transparent, letting your nails natural pink show through nicely too. But with a name like No Pre-Nup, well it’s gotta be fab.1 year ago

  • Katie: Pretty – and oh, what a name.1 year ago

  • Designing Diva: Love it, have to try it! Anyone know of a natural-let-your-real-lip-color-shine-through lipgloss or lipstick? Just starting to think I need to revamp my Spring makeup soon…..1 year ago

  • I have some recommendations! The oldie-but-goodie “Black Honey” Almost Lipstick from Clinique that looks good on everyone. I also love Benefit’s Benetint.1 year ago

  • Designing Diva: Thanks! I LOVE Black Honey – beautiful shade. I will have to try Benetint! A nice corally-pink shade that’s nice and springy is Target’s Sonia Kashuk “Nectar” Luxury Lip Color – just bright enough but not too wild ‘n crazy!1 year ago

  • Sarah in DC: I also have been having an obsession with light pink nail polishes recently. I second Sara Rose’s love of Sugar Daddy (my favorite as well) but will definitely keep my eye peeled for No Pre-nup.

For lip gloss, my favorite is Korres Lip Butter in either Quince (very natural) or Wild Rose. Lovely texture and natural color. Affordable, too, and sold at Sephora. I’ve also wondered about the new line of Burt’s Bees…1 year ago

  • DD, Some funny–I think I mentioned SK Nectar in my honeysuckle post!

Sarah in DC, Good call on the Korres lip butters–super pretty. And people rave about the BB’s tinted balms, as well as the Nivea tinted ones, too.

I love refreshing the spring makeup!1 year ago
