Getting Cozy: Pajama Edition
I firmly believe in the transformative powers of an expertly mixed cocktail, an expensive haircut, and a full-body massage. But sometimes the transformation you’re looking for isn’t one that can be found in the world at large. The rain falls outside, the wind howls, and life is all together too much to bear. You need a hot bath, clean sheets, and a fresh pair of pajamas. I believe deeply in the power of sleepwear.
In my book of sleepwear guidelines, every woman should have a long silk nightgown, silk pajamas, or a silk robe that she can slip into when she is sick or staying in on a Saturday night eating delivered falafel and watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians so that she can still feel like luxe rather than loserish. But that’s a round-up for another day.
These pajamas are for the nights when you want to be left alone to read in bed for three hours or eat a bowl of soup on the couch. These pajamas are for snuggling, free from waistbands and bra straps. These pajamas say, “I like floor-length flannel, and I’m not afraid who knows it. Pass the spaghetti.”

Cadi: I have the Gap stripey long jane pajamas – new PJ splurge for the season. I love them!!! And I’m with anne – my poor husband too, they just don’t make sexy flannel, nor should they!1 year ago
Don’t feel too bad for them! I figure the silk stuff balances out the Amish ensembles!

tami: in a word: yes!
i am a firm believer in the pajama day – a day in which you stay in bed (when you aren’t sick) and lounge. nap, eat, read, whatever.
these outfits would be perfect for my next pajama day. i think i’ll add some new pjs to my holiday wish list.
