Martha: I SO needed this today. thank you for posting it!1 year ago
Kim: Thanks, I too needed that. Do you think they make that in tattoo form for those that need constant reminding?1 year ago
I’m sure that could be arranged. Do I feel a field trip coming on?1 year ago
Jess: Thanks for this, Sarah. It popped up on my screen at just the right moment.1 year ago
Moll: Yes! I’m in the process of trying to make that happen. Thanks for the reminder.1 year ago
Melissa: That will surely bring happiness into your life at every level.1 year ago
Karen: Great advice! And even if what we “do for a living” isn’t a passion or driving force (for too many of us we’re just doing it for the paycheck!) in our lives…we can still “live what we love” in small or not so small ways every day — never give up the dream Over time, baby steps can add up to giant leaps!1 year ago
Karen, I totally agree. Living what you love doesn’t have to mean doing what you love for money (although of course that’s always nice). Finding ways to live what you love everyday, whether that be treating yourself to a coffee or taking a walk to look at the cherry blossoms or soaking in the tub, is really important to your happiness and mental well-being and something I hope I’m always encouraging us to do on POP.1 year ago
Lynne: I work with Autistic children as a Behavior Interventionist and every day I get to do something I am passionate about.
It is challenging work but I can honestly say that I now ‘Live what I Love’.
I am truly blessed and your post made me smile and give thanks.1 year ago
Meredith from Penelope Loves Lists: Agreeing with Karen, too. You can’t always be paid for what you love (and, sometimes, I think, that can take the joy out of it anyway!) but you CAN make room for what you love in your life every day.1 year ago
Colleen: I just got my dream job and don’t mind the pay cut at all because I will be so much happier!1 year ago
Arizona Solar: My husband took a pay cut this year to go for his dream job. It made things a LOT tighter (like a 50% pay cut) but he is home so much more and he actually loves what he is doing. With the old job, money was easy, but he was gone all the time and hardly got a day off EVER. I liked the money but missed my husband! It’s not for everyone, but pay cuts for dream jobs can definitely make families happier. Kudos.
