Julia: I second the daffodils! And I’m sorry they appear to be more expensive in America than in the UK. I think this is a rare thing to behold though; it’s usually the other way around
I am also happy about longer evenings, and hopefully some better/warmer weather too. Oh, and being able to wear pretty shoes again rather than having to live in boots!1 year ago
Sarah F: Rununculus, gerbera daisies, and warm weather.1 year ago
Adrienne: Green shoots coming up.
Lighter evenings.
Lighter jackets.1 year ago
Kristi: The trick is to not to eat too many girl scout cookies so you can fit into that gorgeous dress. So far it’s been a losing battle.
I also love wearing cardigans and not jackets
Daffodils, tulips, and other flowers popping up.
Leaving work and still being able to enjoy the sunshine.1 year ago
Jenn: Where in NYC do you get the girl scout cookies?1 year ago
Kristi, It’s like you must have a video camera into my apartment! I almost just threw the boxes of GS cookies we have in the garbage because they have been such wicked temptresses!1 year ago
Karen: We purchased a few of boxes of Girl Scout cookies last week. A cute little scout was selling them outside the grocery store, so sweet! I tried a new flavor (new to me)…. Samoas. Yummy, although Thin Mints are my favorite.
Some favorite things about March….
- St. Patrick’s Day… corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread!
- daffodils poking through the ground
- more daylight hours
Spring is almost here!1 year ago
Meghan: oh! girl scout cookies! and karen – try eating samoas frozen. very yummy.
more birds singing, extra daylight (although the time change hurts), spring veggies, strawberries (at least here in georgia)1 year ago
Hilary: mmm mmm I could have a month all about cookies (and ice cream?) and be perfectly delighted.
But the time change allows riding my bicycle out on the road in the evenings—so that’s something to be happy about!1 year ago
EB: The park dwellers in full effect!1 year ago
Jules @ Lovely Las Vegas: Spring blooms, finally tasting durian (the fruit), and anticipation of warmer days while still enjoying snuggling up with my love under layers of blankets.1 year ago
molly: Um, is there anything else? Besides cookies and books, I mean. O, flowers! Very important, those…1 year ago
Avril: Its summer here – Im happy ’bout lemonade, breezy cotton tops, pulling out my summer ‘shorts’, sun-glasses (I have new ones that look like they took a fast-forward leap from the ’70s), and salads! Wish we could have more flowers but 35C is not so good weather for flowers ard here

Wendy: March in Texas looks like snow with all the Bradford Pear trees in bloom! Thats 1. spring cleaning, church rummage sale, crisp temps in the morning, sweater weather, flowers-flowers-flowers! college acceptance letters!1 year ago
Rachel C.: I’ve been all about pudding in choc chip cookies since my mom discovered the recipe from Jell-o about 10 years ago. I made some at Christmas and put Craisins in them…they were a big hit!1 year ago
Ellen: I too will second the daffodils and birds singing! Along with baseball, baby chicks, warm breezes and more hours of daylight. Being able to wear the pretty red sandals I bought on sale during the Fall. But alas- First day of Spring tomorrow with a forecast of 6 inches of snow in SW Missouri!!!1 year ago
Sarah R.: My birth day is this Saturday the 27th. My state (WA) has the largest Daffodil festival. My favorite things about March up here is when the sun actually shines. Its a beautiful contrast, dark clouds against a blooming pink plum tree as the crisp sun kisses each flower. You can never forget a fresh hot cup of coffee in the morning in the sunshine while visiting your mom. <31 year ago
Ellen: Made the cookies….they were a hit both here at home and at work! Thank you for the recipe.1 year ago
