Mad For Plaid
What is it about plaid in the fall? Is it somehow programmed into our psyches that plaid = cozy = fall? Whatever the reason, from September-November, I just can’t get enough of it…

Fran: I don’t have any plaid items in my wardrobe but a couple of weeks ago I don’t know what came over me but I became obsessed with finding the perfect plaid item.
I walked into the store and hanging all alone on the end of the rack was a grey and black tunic blouse that I bought and I’m planning on wearing with leggings.2 years ago
Amy C: I don’t have any plaid, but I lOOVE the caplet…how adorable!2 years ago
Fran, That sounds so cute! I’m very into leggings and tunics with boots or flats this fall too.
Amy, I’m drooling over the skirt. I can’t imagine anything cuter than it with my navy corduroy blazer. Fall heaven!2 years ago
Christine S.: Plaid has been in my blood since my Catholic school uniform days! I love it! However, I haven’t really owned anything plaid for a very long time – scarves not included.
I would love an age-appropriate plaid skirt to wear – so school-marmish of me!:)2 years ago
Kristina: I’m sooo loving that plaid is apparently en vogue this season. My favoritest of all favorite fabrics, whether it be wool or flannel… oh yes, I’m pulling mine out.2 years ago

morning mews: I really love that skirt; I’m imagining wearing it while baking some brownies for friends that are coming over on a rainy Friday evening in the fall. Hmm!2 years ago

Back in high school, I was really into plaid skirts. I remember I had this fabulous plaid kilt and matching blazer from B. Altman and Company, which by the way was my favorite department store.2 years ago

Claire: My girlfriends and I just had a flashback movie night and watched Clueless. Of course that movie is filled with plaids. It was really funny to see how a lot of the items could be styled a little differently and still be worn today.
I have a great plaid coat that I got on sale last spring for $10! Unfortunately, being in California… it’ll have to stay in the closet a little bit longer. It’s almost 90 today!
