Alicia Kachmar: I had goosebumps the ENTIRE time watching the Susan Boyle clip–wow!
I’m am joyful about starting my container garden (veggies, herbs, flowers), one of my best friends visiting in a couple of weeks and acquiring free shoes, pastries AND orchids this week.2 years ago
Wow. That is quite a list, Alicia.
Not only do I get goosebumps when I watch Susan Boyle, but I SOB. Every. Single. Time.2 years ago
Sara Rose: I cannot watch Susan Boyle anymore because I’ll go through too many tubes of mascara, having to fix my racoon sob-fest face.
Things I am happy about this spring . . .
-Asparagus and leeks and yummies like that!
-Planning my pots of herbs and peppers
-Planning Eva’s butterfly garden and my tomatoes
-Nolan and Tim building me a clothesline (EEEEEEEEE!!!!!)
-Sunshine and warmth for me to sit on my porch with my coffee and welcome the day (joyfully or not)
-Tanlines on my feet

Adrienne: I am currently joyful about:

- America’s best hot dog stand is 1 mile from my house, and opened for the season this week. Given the forecast, think I’ll be making a trip on Saturday!
- My sister is coming home in three weeks after two years abroad
- And she’s moving to my city AND my neighborhood
- Seedlings I planted this weekend are starting to sprout
- My trip to the Pac Northwest is in one month!
- Coffee. I’m always joyful about coffee.2 years ago
MrsB: I have heard mutterings about this susan boyle but not seen it…….I am just liquid after watching that…..I need to go and collect myself. Thankyou for sharing such a lovely uplifting list x2 years ago
Faith: Sarah, did you love rereading Persuasion? I hope it showed you what a wonderful woman Anne Elliot is. God, I love that book. The speech she makes about “loving longest when all existence or hope is gone.” Sigh. Not to mention Captain Wentworth’s letter. Now I want to reread it.
I am joyful about:
The weather this weekend
My new basketball league for book lovers
The raised bed I built this past weekend and the multitude of veggies I will hopefully get out of it all summer2 years ago
MrsB, Isn’t she just AMAZING??? And the way she hurries right off the stage afterwards and they’re like, “No! Wait!” Too much.
Faith, Haven’t finished rereading it. Saving it for my plane ride but am SO EXCITED!
Love these lists! Especially growing delicious things, sitting outside, hot dogs, sisters nearby, basketball leagues for book lovers and coffee!2 years ago
Kristena: I love love love so much of this! Singin’ in the Rain being my favorite movie ever, Susan Boyle being my new favorite human ever… Anything here that I don’t already love, I will just have to check into!

Betsy: I need more triangle! Tee-hee.2 years ago
ann: I love that cover art for the new Camera Obscura – but I can’t for the life of me find the artist?2 years ago
Julia: hmm, thank you for making me stop and think about this…
- Spring! my favourite season I think. ( I love the blossoms too, but I get sad when they fall. That’s a cruel trick of nature think. Why can’t they just stay there looking all pretty?)
- Sunny days (often few and far between round these parts)
- Wine
- V+ . What a genius gadget!
- another bit of techno-wonder: my lovely laptop so that i can see this blog
- my new home
- pretty cushions (and a textile beachball stuffed with an old duvet)
- fairy lights
- my lovely man
- equally lovely friends & family
- Tomorrow: its a Friday, and it’s pay day for me. woo hoo!
- Shoes
- Brightly coloured nail varnish
-Cheese scones. Actually, just cheese in any form…
Wow that is a long list! I am a very lucky girl….

Sarah: Unexpected trips to Paris? Hell yeah!
EB, I totally am! MAJORLY! (Do I talk like a valley girl?) I had to go back and submerge myself in the text to determind if the outcome of that FB quiz was indeed accurate. Results undetermined at this point.2 years ago
s. stockwell: This is a list we need to make every morning when we rise. Thanks for this great reminder. Best from Santa Barbara, s2 years ago
love, gidget: colin hearts kay looks amazing! i loved the trailer!
I hate the backlash against susan boyle! I especially dislike how they keep trying to say that some other contestant is more amazing. If nothing else, Susan Boyle made simon and an auditorium full of people rethink making snap decisions based on appearances for at least a moment. gotta celebrate that.2 years ago
