Springing into Spring

How can you draw on nature’s rhythms, on the arrival of spring, for inspiration, possibility, and renewal? Spring is a powerful time to begin a project, to renew a commitment, to honor a pledge. What do you want for yourself in this new season? What is one goal that you have? In this season of growth, plant a seed of possibility by taking just one simple action toward that goal. — Aruni Nan Futuronsky, Senior Life Coach, Kripalu

  • Lecia: I like this sentiment. It seems far more sensical to set a goal in spring, when everything is coming to life, than in winter.2 years ago

  • I hear you, Lecia. I also think whenever the seasons start to turn into the next that it’s a nice opportunity to take stock and refocus our priorities.2 years ago

  • Ashley: In conjunction with spring cleaning our houses, we should all give our minds a spring cleaning! I like this concept, and I love the quote you posted. What are your new goals/projects, Sarah?

  • My goal is to interview my cousin who is running her own business and makes the most amazing jewelry! I’ll send you some questions, Ashley!2 years ago

  • Avril: Hey! I love the idea of new goals and fresh ideas…and a spring cleaned mind. Here in Mumbai, it’s already summer (!!!!), but this time of year has me working on a business plan for a project i hope to launch this year, toying with the idea of writing a book, and going back to crafting, sewing and knitting!!!
Also Sarah, I so wish you would re-start the monthly POP projects….I thoroughly enjoyed doing them last year :D

  • Linda: What great color in that photo. I’m so glad spring is here. I have no definite plans other than some gardening but maybe I should make some.2 years ago

  • MrsB: I want to keep believing in me! Thats the goal! I read someones lovely blog entry that said think of a word that would define your year! Brillliant, my word was Belief. I have since survived my first craft stall and opened my folksy shop and actually sold some things I made….me, oh Lordy!! Scary, exhilarating, creative, fun, a constant need to silence the little negative voice in my head!! Spring, brings with it all its lovely colours and inspiration, so I hope to come up with a defining ‘big seller’!! xxxx2 years ago

  • DD: This might be a little weird but when my beau and I talk about kids (in the *distant* future), he is adamant about timing birth for the spring because “that’s how nature does it, you know, like little springtime lambs”. Haha, what a goober.2 years ago
