Book Giveaway: The Laws of Harmony

the-laws-of-harmony

Speaking of reading in bed all day, Harper Collins has generously offered to give away five copies of the new book by Judith Ryan Hendricks, The Laws of Harmony. Booklist says that Hendricks “calls to mind Barbara Kingsolver in her affinity for wise women and the power of close female friendships.” And, to make things better, the main character is a cook, so expect lots of evocative writing about food. Leave a comment and I will draw five names on Friday. Sorry all you beloved internationals, but you must live in the United States for this one. Am about to draw the winners, so no more entries, please. Here are the winning comment numbers! I’ll be contacting each of you via email. Congratulations!

  • Jen: Sara, I have been thinking of your book list for days now and it’s made me really think clearly about what I have been craving in the things I choose to read these days. Whether it’s a book or a blog, I find myself gravitating towards authors (predominantly women) who think about their lives deeply, take pride in small wonders, enjoy the everyday and often free joys we can so easily overlook. Like a good book or a good list of good books shared with friends.
